Chinese Emperor Sui Wen Ti
Unite the country already ravaged mess is not the work of people at random. Only special people who is destined to have such capabilities. And the Chinese Emperor Sui Wen Ti (real name: Yang Chien) is one. It was he who unites the Chinese people who have divided over hundreds of years. Political unity, which can survive cultivated in almost all subsequent centuries.
As a result, China could become one of the most powerful country in the world. Another important outcome of this political unity is the Chinese population consisting of nearly one-fifth of the total world population was so often shaken the plagues of war as experienced by the population of Europe, the Middle East, or parts of the world.
Previous emperor, Shih Huang Ti, had united China in the 3rd century BC. Dynasty, Chin dynasty shattered shortly after his death, but was soon quickly replaced by the Han dynasty which ruled all of China from 206 BC to 220 AD After the fall of the Han dynasty, China entered the swamp split in the long term. Bisalah bad times equated with Europe after the collapse of the dark centuries of the Roman Empire.
Yang Chien was born 514 years from a family who are, compact, and authoritative in North China. He first gained a position of military career when he was only fourteen years old. Yang Chien has the ability and ride off with the speed as the "courtiers" ruler, emperor of the northern hemisphere country Chou dynasty. Help conduct surveillance over almost the entire northern part of China is not in vain because the 573-year daughter of Yan Chien diperistri crown prince. Five years later the Emperor died. The crown prince seems to have less mental stability, so it's no wonder immediate seizure of power fluctuations occur. In the fight Yan Chien appeared as winners, and 581 years old when he was forty years recognized as the new Emperor. Apparently he was not satisfied just to be Emperor of the North China region to strictly. After careful preparation he launched a raid into southern China. This occurred in 588. The invasion was running quick and successful that in 589 years he practically became ruler of all China.
During his reign, Sui Wen Ti built a new capital which was large enough for unifying the empire's center. He also began building a giant canal that connects the two largest rivers in China: Yangtse River in central China by River Hwang Ho (or Yellow River) in the northern part of the country. This canal is completed completed in the reign of his son, to help the union between northern China and southern parts.
One of the most important changes made by the Emperor was concerned agencies filtration system administrators through the exams. For centuries, such systems have made the Chinese government officials are qualified and highly skilled and constantly fill talented people in the seats of government offices across the country and come from all social levels. (The first time this system was pioneered during the Han dynasty, but after the fall of the dynasty that happened a long period of empty time that the system was not implemented, so the hiring is determined by many factors descent).
Sui Wen Ti also requires the application of the so-called "rules of prevention": the provision that the provincial government employees should not come from the province where he was born. This is an attempt to prevent the emergence of the possibilities of "favoritism" and prevention efforts should not be one building officials and have influence too strong power.
Although at the beginning of the level of this rule requires the courage and ability in its application, Sui Wen Ti has always been careful vigilance and a high attitude. He avoided the follow haphazard and apparently membarenginya with load-lightening the tax burden of the people. And an outline of his foreign policy was managed well.
Sui Wen Ti seems to have less self confidence than most rulers, the conqueror of conquerors who had equal success. Although he is a successful and powerful ruler of his position and power to convince all of his mobile millions of people, he seems like a less reluctant passion and do things out of necessity. His wife, a capable woman, though it seems a master piece as if the husband's husband under her crotch, she is a servant and a good companion, so when the struggle for power levels and at the time of ruling. Sui Wen Ti 604 years old died at the age of thirty years. He wide spread allegations of murder victim by son number two (a favorite pupil of the empress), which then replace it.
This new emperor contrived political émigré abroad and at the same time the rebellion broke out against him. He was killed 618 years and was ended by his death during the Sui dynasty. However, it does not mean ending all Chinese unity. Sui Dynasty immediately forwarded by the T'ang dynasty that ruled between the years 618 to 907 years. The kings of Tang dynasty maintain and continue the governance structure as outlined by the Sui dynasty, and under the Tang dynasty, China remained united. (The Tang dynasty is often considered the terjaya China, partly because its armed forces, but more than that caused by the rapid growth of art and literature).
How important is character Sui Wen Ti? To provide certainty to the question, one should try to compare it with the victorious European kingdom when Charlemagne. There are obvious similarities between the two men's careers: about three centuries after the fall of the Roman Empire, Charlemagne managed to reunite most of the European region; same thing, about three and a half centuries after the fall of the Han, Sui Wen Ti managed to unite all of China. Charlemagne, of course, far more famous in Europe; but seems Sui Wen Ti is more influential than Charlemagne. First, he managed to unite all of China, while many important areas in Western Europe (like England, Spain and Italy to the south was never successfully conquered). Second, the union that worked Sui Wen Ti lasting, while Charlemagne's empire disintegrated immediately and never work together again.
Third, progress due T'ang dynasty culture - at least in part - of the progress and economic prosperity brought about thanks to China's political unification. Conversely, the short-term bright immediately ended with the death of Charlemagne and his empire keberantakan. Finally, the test institute for civil servants who are driven by the Sui have much effect, depth, and fundamental. On the basis of this all-although Europe as a whole plays a more important role in the history of the world than China-Sui Wen Ti nonetheless still have an advantage in terms of influencing the course of history than Charlemagne. In fact, very rare kings, both in China and in Europe, had a lasting effect such as Sui Wen Ti. Michael H. Hart,One hundred most influential figures in the history.
